Electric vehicle cover
Extended warranty cover for premium fully electric vehicles, on a 1, 3 or 5-year term.
What is covered
Covers four systems: the drive unit, the electrical control unit and the high-voltage battery, with the on-board charger available as an optional add-on. The high-voltage battery is guaranteed to hold at least 70% of its rated capacity.
Eligibility
Premium pure EVs only, for example Tesla, Porsche Taycan, BMW i Series, Mercedes EQ, Audi e-tron, Volvo Recharge and Polestar. Hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles are not covered under this policy, and mass-market EVs are not eligible. The battery State of Health at inception must be recorded as the baseline.
Key exclusions
Hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles are not covered. Any part not named in the coverage schedule is not covered. An annual authorised EV inspection is required; an inspection overdue by more than 14 days or 500km attracts an administrative charge. The policy document prevails.
